I used to lug around a DVD player for the kids when I went out to dinner with friends and family. Seems simple to do but in fact if you have more than 1 kid, then perhaps they both want to watch something different. Now testing VGo beta, I can give my phone to kid #1 and my wife's phone to kid #2 and now they each get to watch what they want to watch. To top it off, I don't have to carry around that portable DVD player anymore and make sure it's charged before we head out to dinner.
